One of the better ones in Bharat Series
The story is just 313 pages ( If you remove trivial things, it would be 250 pages)
Glad to read something about India & China
In the usual Mr. Ashwin's style the book is divided into 2 stories
1. About the ancient Chinese traveller Xuanzang journey to India in early 7th Century (which is documented in history)
2. Absurd but interesting spy thriller story about Doklam issue.
I hated the endings of The Krishna Key , Sialkot Saga and the Keepers of The Kalachakra

I feel odd when people say Ashwin as Dan Brown of India.
He is a class of his own. The best thing in his books is research on a subject which he is trying to project and the way it interwoves it in a story. Till now he has touched various subjects in his Bharat series and in this book, he has touched amazing aspects of India's relationship with South East Asia especially in later ancient and early medieval period.
