Baasha  (DVD Tamil)

Manikkam (Rajnikanth) is an humble auto driver who helps people and needy. His sister who gets 98% in her exam cannot get into a private medical college because she cannot pay the fees. He then meets the principal and reveals his past, which is not revealed to the audience. Post this his sister gets admission. Manikkam meets Priya, a rich girl who travels frequently in his auto. She develops a respect and passion for him due to his nobility. Later, Manikkam past is revealed as a once Don named Manik Baasha in Mumbai. His old life has followed him when Priyas father, a former member of Mark Antonys gang, recognises Manik Baashha. How Manikkam saves his family from the villion Antony forms the rest of the story.
