Based on an animated music group that was created by Ross Bagdasarian, Sr., produced by Ross Bagdasarian, Jr. and Janice Karman, and released by 20th Century Fox, Alvin and the Chipmunks is an animated comedy-family film series that stars Jason Lee, David Cross and Justin Long. The storyline of this film series follows three anthropomorphic chipmunks named Alvin, Simon and Theodore, who are very talented vocalists and have an affinity for the musical. Along the course of their pursuit of a successful musical career, the chipmunks are often roped into many adventures and misadventures.
