Directed by Dilip Chitre, Godam is a simple take on relationships and how they undergo an acid-test during tough times.

A teenage bride, Yesu (Trupti) has been married to a mentally retarded son of a lecherous old man. On the night of the wedding, the father-in-law tries to rape Yesu and in the scuffle he is killed. A frightened Yesu runs away and hides in an abandoned warehouse. The very next day a new warehouse keeper Edekar (K. K. Raina) and his attendant Dharma (Satyadev Dubey), take charge of the warehouse. Although Edekar gives refuge to Yesu, he is in a mental dilemma about her stay at the warehouse. Fate takes a twist as truckloads of food grain are sent to the warehouse from the head office. Edekar is scared of the girl being found out by others.
